Cadmium is available as plate, ingot, rod, bar, sheet, wire, pellet, granule and so on. It's a soft, malleable, ductile, bluish-white metal.

 

Currently, a large percentage of global cadmium metal production takes place in Asia. It occurs as a minor component in most zinc ores and is a byproduct of zinc production.
